Don't expect Shad Khan to decide on GM until at least next week

The Jaguars’ search for a new general manager continues, but a league source said Thursday to not expect team owner Shad Khan’s final decision until next week at the earliest. The Jaguars have already interviewed David Caldwell, director of player personnel for the Atlanta Falcons, and Tom Gamble, who has the same position with the San Francisco 49ers.

Jaguars let go of general manager Gene Smith

Wasting little time after the worst year in franchise history, Jaguars owner Shad Khan fired general manager Gene Smith Monday. Following a meeting last Thursday, the two met today at EverBank Field, a day after the Jaguars finished their franchise-worst 2-14 season with a 38-20 loss at Tennessee.
